Ceremony for Expired Warranties
The legend of King Arthur is important because of its rich source of cultural identity, historical inspiration, and lessons on morality. It provides a framework for understanding chivalry, justice, and leadership, and continues to inspire art and literature. Here, Arthur has fallen off his horse at the Battle of Salisbury and is fatally struck on the head by his nemesis Mordred. Two birds sing a series of hymns to acknowledge Arthur’s perishing and to beseech the birds of the Otherworld to come and get him. The background text is from an old book about English Renaissance Humanists. The map fragments are of New England.
